Remodeled 1946 Cottage
This charming one story cottage, originally built in 1946 was substantially added on to in 1957 and again in 1965 when Harold C. Chambers, partner of Myron Hunt, retired to this house and remodeled the interior. Mr. Chambers lived on the property until his death in 1972.
Harold Chambers became the partner of Myron Hunt in 1920 and was largely responsible for the commercial design work of the firm which included the Rose Bowl Stadium, the Ambassador Hotel, The Hollywood Bowl and the Pasadena Public Library. Mr. Chambers continued the work of the firm after Mr. Hunt’s death until his retirement in 1965.
The house has three bedrooms, two baths, a living room with a fireplace, a dining area, a remodeled kitchen and a den. There is a combination of concrete and hardwood flooring , large windows overlooking the garden and sliding glass doors. Outside there is a large patio and a large grassy area.
