La Verne

A small suburb nestled in the foothills of the San Gabriel and Pomona Valleys 30 miles east of Los Angeles, La Verne was founded in 1887 as a destination for the Santa Fe Railroad. The tight-knit community offers excellent public schools, a local farmers market, 19 parks, and the 111-acre Sierra La Verne Country Club (the 18-hole golf course Marshall Canyon is also nearby). Foothill Boulevard—historic Route 66—is dotted with popular eateries such as Wähfles and Twisted Sage Café and picturesque Old Town La Verne is home to annual wine and beer walks, car shows, and live music. Discover an array of Ranch, Spanish, Craftsman, Mid-Century Modern, and newer builds, as well as a solid rental market thanks to University of La Verne. Those commuting can look forward to an extension of the Metro Gold Line in 2026.
