Immaculate A. Quincy Jones midcentury in Crestwood Hills asks $2.8M

By Bianca Barragan

In Brentwood’s midcentury modern enclave Crestwood Hills, this three-bedroom house designed by A. Quincy Jones awaits its next owner.

Built in 1950, the post and beam house has tongue-and-groove ceilings, clerestory windows, walls of glass, concrete floors, and it makes use of a variety of woods including redwood, cork, and Douglas fir.

The listing says the house is a “surviving example” of the Crestwood Hills Mutual Housing Association, a development considered the only successful large-scale cooperative housing development in California.
