Windows abound in this stylish midcentury residence in Brentwood. In fact, the centerpiece of the T-shaped home is a terrarium-like living room that extends out over a hillside, with walls of glass on both sides.

Built in 1958, the 1,550-square-foot house was conceived by Case Study designer Craig Ellwood. It has since been restored by architect Jim Tyler, who worked at Ellwood’s firm for many years.

The home holds two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Its unusual floor plan maximizes views and organizes the residence around large decks that provide a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor spaces.
