What: A 1949 gem by early Modernist architect Kenneth Lind in Rustic Canyon, originally dubbed The Platform House, now a 3-bed, 4-bath home reinvented by the LA/Montecito firm of Shubin Donaldson. Set on stilts to capture the view, the ground level was filled in with family-friendly entertaining spaces while the second, original level was renovated into bedrooms and an open lounge/office area around the stairwell.
