Deasy Penner Podley Welcomes Partner Christopher Caparro

deasypennerpodley is excited to announce Christopher Caparro as a new agent to our Hancock Park family.

Originally from Philadelphia, Christopher Caparro moved to Los Angeles in 2003 before settling into his current home on Laurel Canyon in 2016.

Christopher’s approach to real estate is very personal. He leverages his own experience as an agent, real estate investor, and homeowner to guide his clients through the buying and selling process. He believes being a good listener, a clear communicator, and a strong negotiator are paramount when it comes to being a successful real estate partner.

Christopher currently resides in The Hogan Residence, a rehabilitated 1964 Post-and-Beam MCM designed by Douglas Rucker. He spent two years working with the City of Los Angeles to protect the home and in 2018 he had it officially declared as a Historical Cultural Monument (HCM 1152). To further rehabilitate the home, Christopher successfully filed under The Mills Act, a tax incentive for homeowners with properties that have unique architectural integrity. Christopher loves sharing this experience with potential clients who are looking for architecturally significant homes because he truly believes these structures need to be protected.

Christopher serves on two HOA boards: as Secretary on a condominium HOA and as Treasurer on a small lot subdivision. These types of hands-on experiences allow him to offer expert advice to clients who are considering these types of homes.

Prior to real estate, Christopher spent 20+ years working in advertising imagining campaigns for high profile companies including Amazon, Hyundai, Skechers, Mattel and more. He even created a Super Bowl commercial for Skechers which ranked #3 on USA Today’s AdMeter.

Christopher’s calm disposition, attention to detail, and unique combination of real estate and marketing skills make him an excellent partner for both buyers or sellers. His areas of expertise include neighborhoods in and around Laurel Canyon, West Hollywood, Hollywood, Ladera Heights, DTLA, West Los Angeles, and Santa Monica.

Christopher lives in Laurel Canyon with his wife Susanna, their dog Legend, and (soon-to-be) son Leonardo. When he’s not working, Christopher can usually be found traveling the globe in search of new places to get lost in.
